Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on Pawbook (pawbook.studio) or using any part of the Pawbook service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are accepting on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.

These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you (the "Studio" or "you") and psyn llc ("psyn," "we," "us," or "our"), a limited liability company governed under the laws of the State of Delaware.

2. Description of Service

Pawbook is a cloud-based customer relationship management (CRM) platform designed for pet grooming studios. The service includes tools for managing client records, pet profiles, appointment scheduling, payment tracking, and automated transactional communications such as appointment reminders and receipts.

Pawbook is a business-to-business (B2B) service. You are responsible for how you use Pawbook in connection with your customers.

3. Accounts and Studios

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@pawbook.studio if you suspect unauthorized access.

Each subscription covers one studio location. If you operate multiple locations, each requires a separate subscription unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

4. Subscription and Billing

4.1 Free Trial

New accounts receive a 14-day free trial. No credit card charge occurs during the trial period. At the end of the trial, your account will require a paid subscription to continue. If you do not provide payment information before the trial ends, your access will be suspended.

4.2 Recurring Subscription

After the trial period, Pawbook costs $29.00 per month per studio. Billing is processed through Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically each month on the anniversary of the date you started your paid plan. By subscribing, you authorize psyn to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis.

4.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at support@pawbook.studio. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to the service through the end of that period.

4.4 Refunds

We do not issue prorated refunds for unused time remaining in a billing period after cancellation. If you cancel during your free trial before any charge is made, you will not be charged. Please see our Refund Policy for details.

4.5 Price Changes

We may change the subscription price with at least 30 days' advance notice by email. If you do not cancel before the price change takes effect, your continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the new price.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Pawbook only for lawful purposes. You may not:

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Pawbook complies with any laws that apply to your business, including applicable state privacy laws governing the personal information of your customers.

6. Data and Privacy

Pawbook stores personal information about your studio's customers that you enter into the system. You are the data controller for that information. psyn processes it on your behalf as a service provider.

We do not sell your customers' personal information to third parties. We share data only as necessary to operate the service, including with Stripe for payment processing and Postmark for transactional email delivery.

Our Privacy Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference, describes in full detail how we collect, use, store, and protect data.

7. Intellectual Property

Pawbook, its software, design, trademarks, and all related content are owned by psyn llc or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the service.

You retain ownership of the data you enter into Pawbook. You grant psyn a limited license to store, process, and transmit that data solely to provide the service to you.

8. Warranty Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. PSYN DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PSYN DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PSYN AND ITS MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT WILL PSYN'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO PSYN IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

10. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by canceling your subscription and ceasing use of the service.

psyn may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if your payment fails and is not resolved within a reasonable time, or if required by law. We will give you reasonable notice unless the violation is severe or we are legally prohibited from doing so.

Upon termination, your right to access the service ends. We will retain your data for 30 days after termination, during which time you may request an export. After that period, your data may be permanently deleted.

11. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
